Just like others years, we celebrated Lorhri, a South Asian festival with mothers on Saturday Jan 25th, 2020. It was to celebrate warmth of womanhood. We acknowledge and appreciate how Punjabi women have supported each other and have kept not only the families together but also played a leading role in keeping the community vibrant, progressive and together. It was a free event and was open to public. Snacks and dinner were provided. Close to 100 mothers, daughter and grandmothers joined us to sing, dance and carry the tradition forward. Event was held at 6882 King George Blvd, at Dance with FilmE academy.
