OGV’s Road Safety Campaign: #BeSeenBeSafe

Surrey, BC – February 2026

OGV has been running its Road Safety Campaign since 2020, annually from October to March, with the goal of promoting safer roads and increasing visibility for pedestrians, cyclists, and workers during darker winter conditions. Through initiatives like #BeSeenBeSafe, OGV continues to encourage proactive steps that save lives. OGV has distributed over 3500 high-visibility reflective vests and bands in campaign year 2025-2026.

As part of this campaign, OGV urges local businesses and organizations to support road safety by providing reflective bands to their staff and volunteers, especially those who commute or work outdoors during early mornings or evenings.

OGV relies entirely on community support and receives no government grants. For over 12 years, the organization has proudly served the community through grassroots funding, volunteerism, and collective care.

Community members are invited to support the campaign by:

* Donating via e-transfer: ourglobalvillagemovement@gmail.com

* Volunteering their time and skills
